Poetry Day #19

Our prompt for today was to create a walking archive. Take a walk and collect interesting things, then write about them.

Haiku

Walking in my yard

With interesting treasures

Collected by dogs

The Walk

An adventure in my own backyard

A never ending collection of treasures

Gathered by one large dog

With little help from the other two

There is a rather large limb

A vast array of sticks and twigs

Logs that have been shredded to mulch

A tennis ball unrecognizable

One large dog lying

Camouflaged in the arborvitaes

While one simply acts normal

And one cannot believe that

Nature had the audacity to get on him
