Today’s prompt: write a poem of over the top compliments………….this is totally out of my wheelhouse and quite honestly makes me uncomfortable. That’s ok – we grow when pushed, so here goes nothing. Literally. Nothing.

Haiku

To call me lavish

In praise that I have given

Would be a mistake

That Is Not Me

Do you need compliments to thrive?

Lavish attention and

effusive praise showered on you?

Are you looking for someone

that is as demonstrative as the day is long?

Are you a child?

Then perhaps.

Are you an adult?

It is not me you seek.
